At 5:44pm on Saturday, 22 February, we received reports of an incident near Yield Hall Place in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Water Rescue Units from Caversham Road and Slough fire stations and one Officer.
Upon arrival, the crews found one person in the river. Firefighters rescued the person from the water and placed them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
They were on scene for approximately 45 minutes.
