At 11:02am on Tuesday, 6 June, we received reports of an incident in Farlows Lake near Iver.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service Crews from Slough and Langley fire stations were sent to the scene alongside two officers. They were joined at the scene by a crew, officer and water rescue team from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a car below the water’s surface and firefighters were able to recover a person from the vehicle. Sadly, the person passed away at the scene of the incident. Our thoughts are with their friends and family at this incredibly difficult time.
Crews were on the scene for approximately two hours before handing over to Thames Valley Police.
