If you missed last weekend’s charity car wash at Bracknell Fire Station then don’t worry! This Saturday (19 March), firefighters from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) will be giving you another chance to get a shiny motor as part of their second consecutive charity car wash.
Bracknell firefighters will be washing vehicles at the fire station in Downshire Way from 10am – 4pm.
All donations will go to The British Red Cross, which is part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. They help vulnerable people in the UK and abroad prepare for, withstand and recover from emergencies in their own communities.
Lloyd Palmer, Group Manager at RBFRS, said: “Last week the crews at Bracknell managed to raise a staggering £1,200 for The Fire Fighters Charity as part of the national car wash event. It was amazing to see how kind the people in the local community are and we are hoping that this weekend’s car wash is no different!
“This weekend, we are hoping to raise money for The British Red Cross, which does fantastic work across the UK and abroad. The car wash offers us a great opportunity to give back to a great charity and we are hoping that our local community will be just as generous as last week.”
The suggested minimum donation is £5 per car.
