Firefighters from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) are inviting drivers to treat themselves to a gleaming motor on Saturday, 14 May!
Langley firefighters will be lending a hand by washing vehicles at the fire station in London Road from 10am – 4pm.
The donations will go to The Fire Fighters Charity, which provides a range of services for fire service personnel and their families, including therapy and rehabilitation for injured firefighters.
Mike Jeeves, Watch Manager at Langley Fire Station, said: “We’re hoping for good weather and lots of people to come along on the day to help us raise as much money as possible for The Fire Fighters Charity. The car washes offer a great opportunity for RBFRS firefighters and members of the public to support the amazing work that the charity does.
“Visitors will also have the chance to ask us any questions they may have about how to reduce the risk of having a fire in the home and how to make an emergency escape plan, so it’s well worth popping in!”
The suggested minimum donation is £5 per car.
