This Easter, treat yourself to a sparkling motor from one of two Reading fire stations on Saturday (26 March)! Firefighters from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) will be cleaning cars in return for donations to The Fire Fighters Charity.
Firefighters from both Caversham Road and Dee Road Fire Stations will be washing vehicles between 10am and 4pm as part of The Fire Fighters Charity’s national car wash event.
The Fire Fighters Charity provides a range of services for fire service personnel and their families, including therapy and rehabilitation for injured firefighters.
Group Manager Paul Jones said: “If you live in Reading, crews will be ready and waiting to clean your car at not one but two fire stations! The Fire Fighters Charity does amazing work and many of our colleagues have benefitted from the services it offers.
We hope lots of people will pop by either Dee Road or Caversham Road Fire Stations on Saturday to get their cars cleaned and help make a real difference to this fantastic charity at the same time.
“You can also take the opportunity to chat to us about how you can reduce the risk of having a fire in the home, so it’s well worth a visit. We look forward to seeing you there!”
The suggested minimum donation is £5 per car.
