A sheep was rescued from the water by firefighters at the weekend and is now at the fire station while efforts are made to find its owner.
At 3.19pm on Sunday 26 March, crews were called by Thames Valley Police to reports of a sheep in the water along Rose Kiln Lane in Reading.
Firefighters from Caversham, Whitley Wood and Wokingham Road Fire Station were accompanied by the water rescue unit went and rescued the sheep, but the owner has not been located.
The crew from Caversham Road took the sheep to the station and are keeping it in the drill tower for the time being until the owner is found.
