Newbury Fire Station

Newbury Fire Station has been located at Hawthorn Road in Newbury since 5 December 1956, with historic records suggesting there has been a fire brigade of some description serving the area and its surroundings since the early 1900s.

The wholetime station has two fire appliances which respond to a wide range of incidents including road traffic collisions, industrial accidents, property fires, flooding, rescuing people from water, mud and ice as well as animal rescues.

Firefighters hone their skills in a specialist training block on the site which can recreate different scenarios and dangers with moveable walls and obstacles.
