High Rise Safety Advice
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service is committed to ensuring public safety across all building types. Following the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower, RBFRS has been working hard to ensure all high-rise residential buildings in the county have been inspected and to ensure appropriate fire safety measures are in place.
This has been a high priority for the Service, along with further developing our operational response capabilities by introducing new training, equipment and resources to respond to incidents within High Rise Residential Buildings – supporting us on our journey of continuous improvement.
Royal Berkshire Fire Authority has provided the funding and support for this programme of work. We will provide updates on our progress as we continue to respond to the changing environment, including addressing the recommendations published as part of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.
The pages listed underneath provide guidance for residents, owners and responsible persons of high-rise buildings. If you have any questions, please contact us through the contact links provided.
