Hub Safety Plans

In 2023, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) published its Corporate Plan and Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) 2023-27, which sets out, in strategic terms, the aims and objectives of what Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) intends to achieve over the next four years.

The Service has launched three Hub Safety Plans to outline how we will deliver our overall service strategy across the county over the coming year.

The three Hubs of Berkshire: West, Central and East.
The three Hubs of Berkshire: West, Central and East.

Hub Safety Plans replace Local Safety Plans, which were previously in place for each Unitary Authority area in Berkshire. The new Hub Plans correspond to our three Hub areas:

  • West Hub, covering West Berkshire and Reading Borough.
  • Central Hub, covering Wokingham Borough and Bracknell Forest.
  • East Hub, covering Slough Borough and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Each Hub Plan lays out the Service’s strategic objectives for the Hubs. Station plans will be formed on the back of the Hub Plans, setting out a range of specific station related objectives to help identify and support the needs of communities across the County.
