Recommendation 12:

By 1 March 2024, chief fire officers should provide assurances to HMICFRS that they have implemented the standard on staff disclosure, complaint and grievance handling.

RBFRS action: Detailed gap analysis completed with a comprehensive action plan developed and underway.

There has been greater use of external HR professionals and investigative interview teams alongside employment law, investigation and hearing training for managers up to and including SLT level.
