Values and Culture in Fire and Rescue Services
Recommendation 24:
By 1 October 2023, chief fire officers should put plans in place to monitor, including through the gathering and analysis of staff feedback, watch and team cultures and provide prompt remedial action for any issues they identify.
RBFRS action: We have mechanisms for feedback including feedback from staff leaving the service, data relating to disciplines and complaints are reviewed annually as well as information received through our open feedback routes such as confidential reporting lines, surveys and internal forums. We have an open feedback route through our operational learning assurance process and this is actively used by colleagues.
