Recommendation 34:

With immediate effect, chief fire officers should review their implementation of the Core Code of Ethics and make sure it is being applied across their services.

RBFRS action: The core Code of Ethics is built into our Behavioural Competency Framework and is the foundation of our processes and communications and engagement. We ensure that our Behavioural Competency Framework is embedded in policy, assessment and practice and used to guide activity and reduce inequalities. The Code of Ethics is built into training, recruitment and onboarding.
